In James 3:10 we read these words “Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing my brethren, these things ought not to be.” Just what is brother James talking about? Just back up a few sentences and you will see that he is talking about our tongues and how fast it can say thingsContinue reading “Words Out Of Your Mouth”

In my last letter I wrote about death and trusting in God’s word and this week I want write about faith. Our faith must be in Jesus and not ourselves. Faith is a real tangible substance-Hebrews 11:1, and without faith it is impossible to please God-Hebrews 11:6. Faith must be a daily act of believingContinue reading “Our Faith Must Be In Jesus”

What a statement Jesus makes in John 8:51 when he said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, if a man keep my sayings, he shall never see death.” What did he mean? He was such a wordsmith, and he always shocked the religious people with words and meanings that was sometimes offensive to them, butContinue reading “Never See Death?”

As I search the internet about this question, I see a lot of disagreement among the various posts as to whether we are saved and sealed after we believe. Can we lose our salvation after we believe and be lost forever? Today as I write about this topic I hope to make it clear thatContinue reading “Are We Sealed?”

What were the most important commandments according to Jesus? In Matthew 22:37 a lawyer asked him, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus answered him with Dueteronomy 6:5; “thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” But Jesus didContinue reading “Keeping The Commandments”

Jesus said for us to fear not, but believe only. The words of our Lord Jesus are all we need to believe. Everything else is somebody’s opinion, including mine. If you are able to read, then you are able to believe what is written in the Bible. God is not a man that He shouldContinue reading “Fear Not But Believe”

I have heard this preached many times in my walk with the Lord over the past several years: “you must have a relationship with the Lord Jesus in order to be saved.” Where does it say that in the Bible? This word does not even appear in the KJV Bible! What does this word relationshipContinue reading “Relationship With Jesus?”

Is your God just so big that you are in complete awe of His awesomeness? Or is He just big enough to understand with your finite mind, and fit into your plans and dreams? Only one answer will be about the God of the Bible and the other is just human wishfulness. I see soContinue reading “Is Your God Big Enough?”

Where do I find a common thread to begin to tell the story of Jesus Christ being alive in his resurrected body, that will tell you all the events that are recorded in our New Testament? In Acts 1:3, we see Luke giving us the information that Jesus walked the earth for 40 days afterContinue reading “Post Resurrection, 40 Days”

Jesus has risen in spite of everything that man could do to stop it from happening. The event was beyond spectacular or any other words we could use, as God reentered his lifeless human body. 1 John 1:5 informs us that God is light and in Him there is no darkness, so on that darkContinue reading “The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ, Part 2”
