Can God Use Me?

We are selling ourselves short as Christians. Most of the “Organized Church” see’s themselves as unworthy of what God has done for them. What an insult to God, who sent His only begotten Son Jesus, to die for us. We are created in Gods image ( Genesis 1;27). We are loved by Him (John 3:16).

This is why the devil is always making our mistakes and sins seem so large to us. Big devil, little god mentality. Sin is always a large mountain in our eyes because of this. But, God did not tell us to look at our mountain and try to climb it or go around it. Instead He said to speak to our mountain and it will be removed right before our eyes of faith, and it will cast itself into the sea (Mark 11:23). Never more to be seen.

Don’t get knocked down by your sins or sense of being unworthy. Get back up,dust yourself off, confess your sin to God,(1 John 1:9) and get back in the race of life as an over comer, destined to win. A preacher friend of mine always says, God is not intimidated by our sins, and He knew how much of a problem you would be. He knew this before He called you out of the world and you responded. But thank God, He is a master craftsman and He will make something out of your life as you yield to Him (Romans 8:28).

We are new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17). Never before has God had people like us. We are Children of God, joint heirs with Christ Jesus. Does that sound unworthy to you? We need to renew our minds to Gods way of thinking and act upon it (Romans 12:2).

As Gods children, we are to be like Him, imitators of what we see God doing, just like Jesus did while He walked on this earth (John 5:17), going about doing good, healing all those that were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38).

The word of God is to be in our mouth, and we are to use it to gain our victory. We are now more than conquerors, we are overcomers by the word of our testimony and the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 12:11).

As Gods Children we each have our special gifts, given to us before we were born. We are unique in that only we can do what God has placed us here to do. You may wonder, as I did most of my Christian life. What is my purpose? What is my call? I was in the same boat as you, until I read a book by Max Lacado, The Cure For The Common Life. In that book Max makes this claim, “ study your skills to learn your assignment”. What makes you tick, or what makes you happy and satisfied? God has given each of us, according to our ability (Matthew 25:15) the necessary tools or drive, to get the job done. What job? Our assignment of course, which our Father has given each of us.

By doing what we love to do and which we also do well at, this is our calling in Life. Not what we do to make money. But, what we do because we love to do it. I have heard it said in the past, “What would you be doing right now if money was not an issue” ? If your answer is anything other than what I am doing right now, you are not in the right occupation or calling. Time to reset and rethink your future.

Then as you allow God to bring your gift or call to perfection in your life, you will be blessed and full of joy, not only to you, but to all those you come into contact with. God gets the Glory and you get the blessing. God is pleased with you and you are happy. Sound familiar? Daddy-Child relationship.

To answer my question,Yes,God can use you, it is the reason He created you. You will make it, just don’t give up. See you next week.

  1. We are all a work in process in His eyes. I thank God daily for His Grace and Forgiveness that He didn’t give up on me and I didn’t give up on me!
