My Mission And Purpose

I want to close out this year of 2021 with a short blog on why I am taking the time to write down my thoughts to those who will read them on this wondrous thing called the “internet”. I want to help those who are burned out and hurt by the Organized Church, and to help them to become stable in the Lord once again, and to study the Word of God for themselves and not rely on someone else’s opinion as to what the Word of God says.

The Bible is our instruction manual to life on this planet we call Earth, you can read it and understand it for yourself. You do not need to be fed by someone else all the time, you need to learn to feed yourself. You eat every day don’t you? Then why fast six days without the Word of God and only eat on Sunday what someone else has prepared? I spent most of my Christian life this way and learned a lot of useless religiosity. Got a lot of junk food instead. We need to remember everything other than the Bible is just someone else’s opinion. So why not see what your own opinion is? The Holy Spirit can explain it to you just like He does for anyone else who will ask Him for help.

I am writing this blog to express my thoughts on the Bible and to help motivate you to check it out for yourself. My main study helps are different translations of the Bible, a Strongs Exhaustive Concordance, a W. E. Vines Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words, a Merriam Websters Dictionary 7th Edition,1963, and Biblehub.com. I spend hours and days writing in my notebooks what I learn as I chase after God. I never knew what my opinion was until I started to write it down.

This study that you do yourself will tell you what you really know and reveal things that have been learned wrongly by someone who was misinformed by organized religion. I do my best to be as correct as I can be when delivering to you what I have learned during these past 75 years of my life. Please do not allow yourself to be lectured to by those to whom you look up to in the Church without checking in the Bible as to what they say and teach is correct. You are the one who is responsible to watch what you are eating. A preacher I know used to say, “eat the hay and spit out the stubble”. Each one of us as children of God have our own gifts and callings (Romans 12, Ephesians 4, 1 Corinthians 12), and we also have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). We only need to use it. Read what Holy Spirit has written to us. Stay in the New Testament, and become the Priest you are destined to be (1 Peter 2:9). The Holy Spirit has already taken everything out of the Old Testament for us and put it in what we call the New Testament. I don’t mean to say never read the Old Testament as it is the story of the Jewish people as God led them to become His people. We need to know what they went through to see what a great gift Jesus has given us to be called the Children of God ( John 1:12, Galatians 3:26).

The Old Testament is about judgement and the New Testament is about Gods gift of grace to all those who will accept it. We are the living Church of Jesus Christ. When you try to combine the two, judgement and grace you can become confused, and we know confusion is not from God (1 Corinthians 13:33). Trust Holy Spirit and stay in the New Testament for your daily food and direction. We are all in this together and remember God wins in the end.

Fear not my little flock, just remember who you are in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17-18). Stay in the race and keep going toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14). You will make it, just don’t give up.

See you in 2022 with some new things I believe you will enjoy as you run your race. I am going to try posting some mini blogs along with my weekly one. I want you to have some thoughts to meditate on your journey of life as you go about your own ministry as priest to those you come into contact with daily.

In His Service as Kilted Priest

  1. This may be my favorite post, as I have come to despise the church as they all seem to push their motives not the word of god. The church has become a big money deal instead of helping those lost on their path find their way back to Christ or to keep those who have found him close to him.
