Salvation Is A Gift From God

Once you believe and become a child of God by the new birth of your old spirit man, then you have gone from lost to saved and it is a gift, (not of yourself, God does it) then it creates you in Gods image and you are forever His Child. To put it on an earthly level can a child you have ever stop being your child? Then God who is more than human, will never disown His Child who is created in the image of Jesus His only begotten Son.

People who believe you can go to Hell as a born again child of God do not really understand what they are saying nor do they even begin to understand grace. They need to read the New Testament for themselves and see what God says and not just some talking heads opinion from the pulpit. God would really be unfair to give you the “gift of Salvation” and then put you in Hell in spite of it. These preachers who teach this have very little comprehension of who they really are. Jesus told James and John in Luke 9:54-55 “ you know not what manner of spirit you are of,” when they wanted to call down down the fire of God and destroy those who did not believe Jesus was the Messiah.

We are such judgmental, self righteous people who have ever walked this earth and we get so puffed up by, I am saved and you need to become just like me. Paul said to the Corinthians to follow him as he followed Christ. When we follow Jesus we will not become judgmental and hurt them as we will be walking the love walk as He did as our example. Paul really was a disciple picked by God to spread the Gospel to the world. If you want people to follow your example make sure it lines up with what Jesus did while He walked this fallen earth we call home.

Sometime back, before my wife was taken down by this stroke, we were discussing this thought. From Adam to Moses there was no law. From Moses to Jesus’s death the law was in effect. From the resurrection to now we are under grace. If you read 1 John 5:16 we are reminded of what I see in Grace, sin’s debt is paid, but disobedience will draw it’s own reward. Not loss of salvation, but loss of physical life on this earth.

This scripture (Acts 5) gives us a very clear picture that Christians can sin so seriously that God has to judge them and allow them to die. Judgement came from God quickly and they both paid the ultimate price. But most sins are not this drastic, and as a believer if you see sin’s committed by other believer’s, you are to ask God to forgive them and show them their error. Not gossip about it, but stepping in as a Priest to help them. We really are Priest so we might as well be about our Fathers business doing the work of the Kingdom. Why? Because any sin continued in for a long time without them asking to be forgiven of this sin will result in Father stepping in and judging it. By our willingness to step in and ask Father to forgive them may secure a longer life for them and allow them to finish their race in style.

A born again person’s new nature is inherently sinless (1 John 5:18) because God’s seed is in us. But our human nature that is being fueled by 6000 years of living in the flesh because of Adams fall, changed our will to live for the Lord. If we do not renew our minds with the Word Of God (Bible) we cannot hope to win very many battles of the flesh when we are outnumbered 2 to 1.

When we renew our minds by Gods word, we begin to think like Him and this is our game changer and our battles will be short and our victories assured. A saved child of God cannot lose their salvation and this is proved by John when he penned his letters in 1,2 and 3 John. Peter also assures us in 1 Peter 1:23. If you just read the New Testament without your religious glasses on you will begin to understand who you really are and what you capable of as the representatives of Jesus on this earth.

I hope you are encouraged by these letters I write as often as I can. Ingrid is struggling to get well and I do hope you are praying for her complete restoration. These are hard times for both of us as we look to Jesus as our healer and we keep our trust in Him. In Romans 14:8, Paul reminds us if we live or die we are the Lords. So cheer up and keep your face pointed towards Heaven as you continue your own race, and always remember you will make it, just don’t give up. See you next time as we continue to run our race towards home.

In His Service as KiltedPriest.
