What in the world is a Ramble? What does it mean? Mr. Webster explains it as to talk or write in a desultory fashion. I am 75 years old and I still read words that I know not the meaning of. Desultory? Again Mr. Webster explains it as marked by lack of definite plan, regularity or not connected with the main subject. So todays letter will be thoughts and ideas that will help you along on your journey of life that this priest has lived through. I do hope you will find something precious that will help you connect the dots of life for yourself.
What is “sin”, and why does it matter so much to God? Sin is failing to do what God has commanded you to do in His Word. Jesus gave us one new commandment in John 13:34, that we are to love each other, and by doing this we show the world we are united in Jesus. Not love the world but each Christian brother or sister. It is curious to me that in Matthew 22:40, Jesus tells the Pharisees that all the law and the prophets, hangs on these two commandments, love God, love people. Jesus just goes a little further when He tells us to love our brethren.
When we look at this point Jesus was making about loving God, we find that He was explaining to us we are to do what is written in His word. Anything less is sin. We are to adjust our thinking and ask for forgiveness when we realize we have sinned against God. When we hurt someone or steal from them, we are hurting God as He sees our every move and knows our thoughts.
When we step out of this love walk we are breaking fellowship with our God and Father. When we love Him, we have to love each other also. We are created in His image. We are new creations that never existed before Jesus became the first as He arose from the dead. Remember I am talking to you the Christian, and not the world.
When we fulfill our lust we are stepping outside our love walk with God. Every sin that mankind has ever committed against God, past, present, and future was dealt with at the cross. All sin is forgiven, all we have to do is recognize we are in error and out of fellowship with our God. Everyone will meet God, everyone past, present, and future. It all depends upon our relationship with Jesus. For or against Him determines our eternal future.
This is why John wrote his letters to let everyone know that all is well if we stay in fellowship with Jesus. His blood continually cleanses us every day. As we start and finish our day we are to be mindful of who we are and what Jesus has done for us. Stay in the love walk and practice forgiveness.
America has a problem and everyone knows it, but no one wants to fix it. We all know that there is trouble brewing in our land, except the ones who live off free money that does not exist. No one, including the people who are supposed to be our leaders wants to acknowledge what the problem is. It is not left or right, democracy or socialism, or any other “ism” you want to interject. Our problem is a little 3 letter word, Sin! Such a small word but one with great meaning.
Our Constitution was only meant to guide a Godly nation, one that was founded on Christian principles and the Word of God. We are in simple rebellion against our Creator. We have become separated from our God and Father as we try to live without any interference from Him. We are cut off from the source of life. A new President or policy will not fix anything. It can only be solved by allowing God to access our power structure. This problem goes from top to bottom. You can not even attempt to fix it at the top or Federal level, you have to fix it at the local, then the State, and finally the swamp or Washington.
I mean you as the Christian reader of this letter. Not just saying you pray about it. Prayer without action is just words. Our people just want to sit on the sidelines and let someone else do it. Cheerleaders are what we are! You have to become a player if you want to win! If we as Christians are really serious about it then each one of us has to do our part. Run for local office and put God back into politics and watch Him turn your local government around. But don’t think it will be easy. The enemy does not want to give up his ground, but he will have to if you are elected to office. You are a child of God and your authority is already settled in the mighty name of Jesus. Put your armor on and get into the fight before it is really too late.
I will continue to write these letters knowing that you read them and are trying to become a better Christian as you apply the Word of God to your life and attempt to change your future to Gods plans and not your own. Sin has no authority over you except what you allow. Our country is the people, and if the people take their authority back and all of us vote the enemy out, we will see America rise once again for the final conflict with the anti christ of the end times.
I realize that not everyone can run for any office as there are millions of us and only thousands of opportunities each year. Just get into the race and make sure one of us gets elected if we really want to see real changes made. When you are elected serve your time as a leader and then let someone else take their turn. Remember it is not a career choice, it is your duty to serve with honor.
I hope this stirs your heart to get back into the race and not just say you tried but really did do something that will benefit and change your community for the good of all. I will close for now as I need to try and keep these letters as short as possible. Always remember that you will make it, just don’t give up.
See you next week.
