What About Church?

There is much discussion on the internet about the need for us to go to “Church”. They say there is no “Lone Ranger Christianity”. To these statements I say poppycock! No lone ranger? What about this pompous person called “Pastor”? The New Testament makes it very plain that there are to be Elders (more than one) that govern the Church (Titus 1:6-9).

One group made this comment, “We are the body the body of Christ”. To this I agree, but in most Churches I have attended, we are all subject to “Pastor”, and if we have gifts, we are to use them elsewhere. There is no effort for them to be used in Church, you may be out of order and cause confusion. Most of this comes from the idea of Church being an organized meeting of many people gathered together. More on this later.

The Bible does not require us to go to church. Why not? Because we, the born again believers, are the Church. We are all part of the body of Christ. It does tell us to meet with others, Matthew 18:20. But, we are the church, all of us together. Not some useless cold building that is protected from taxes by being under IRS dominion. Let me say a few words about IRS dominion and their control over the Organized Church. I believe it is wrong to be a 501 C3 entity. We need to break free of this bondage and become responsible for our own taxes and not allow someone else to pay our share to make up the lost revenue by the county and state we are in. Not to mention the control over us as to our freedom of speech.

Jesus told us in Matthew 18:20 that as long 2 or 3 of us gather together in His name, He would be there among us. Unity or one accord is the key. There is no scripture in the New Testament that tells anyone they must go to church, because we are the Church.

The main reason the “Church” requires us to go to church is because of “money”. They need your money to continue to keep their doors open and their paycheck coming in. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Jesus did not die for us to start a Church Business. He died for us to become Children Of God, by faith in His Death, Burial, and Resurrection.

I have this quote by someone that said, “Christianity began as a new birth in Jesus Christ. When it went to Athens it became a philosophy. When it went to Rome it became an organization. When it spread throughout Europe it became a culture. When it came to America, it became a business.” How sad these words are, but true. No wonder the world sees Christianity as just another religion.

When will the Organized Church realize that it is dying because it has no power? The world is familiar with the Jesus of the Bible, but where is He today? Where are the mighty acts he did back then? Religion has replaced Him in most churches of today. We long for the supernatural, but the church says it has passed away. Is this true? Poppycock! Religion is just dead mans bones that has no power or life in it. Real Christianity has the life of God in it, and His power can and will be experienced if you just believe the Word of God as written, not as some educated person explains it away.

Brothers and sisters, please do not stop going to church. I just want you to be aware of who you are and what your purpose in life is. You are the ones who need to take this message to others you know. Together we can slowly change this “parasite” called Church! My wife says this is too hard, but what else do you call something that can not exist without you? The organized church spends about 80 to 90 percent on itself, as I have said before in past blogs.

Get serious with the Word of God and become a student of it, and realize you are a Priest , and you have this ministry of reconciliation, and a job to do. Let us all get back in the race of life and make a difference in someones life. Remember you will make it, just don’t give up.

Just a short note before I post this message. We are now in Ohio and trying to unpack and remodel our new home. It has been very busy and it has been too long since I last posted a message for you all. I hope to get back on track with this ministry of mine. I love you all and thanks for your prayers. People from 12 Nations have read my words. I am so blessed with this, I am humbled at Gods goodness and His grace. To Him goes all the glory. See you next time as I continue with this task of waking the Church as to who they really are. In His Service, as Kilted Priest.
